Cromar PRO GRP Roofing Resin, also commonly listed as Cromar Pro 25 Resin, is a professional cold-applied polyester laminating resin designed for fibreglass flat roofing. Supplied with the appropriate catalyst and available in 10kg and 20kg tins, it forms the structural base layer within the Cromar PRO GRP roofing system.

Its pre-promoted, filled and thixotropic formulation provides efficient glass fibre wet-out, reliable working characteristics and consistent curing. Once correctly installed with compatible chopped strand matting, the resin produces a strong, water-resistant GRP laminate suitable for demanding domestic and commercial flat roof applications.

Fire Performance of the PRO GRP System

Cromar PROGRP Roofing Resin is used as part of the complete Cromar fire-retardant GRP roofing system.

When installed on OSB as the complete specified build-up—including compatible PROGRP fibreglass reinforcement, hardener and Cromar PROGRP Fire Retardant Topcoat—the system is classified BRoof(t4) in accordance with EN 13501-5:2016.

The BRoof(t4) classification applies to the complete tested roofing system and should not be attributed to the resin when used independently.

Available Sizes and Approximate Coverage

Coverage figures are approximate and based on standard installation with 450gsm chopped strand mat. Actual consumption depends on the substrate, overlaps, roof details, application method and site conditions. Approximately 33% more resin may be required when using 600gsm matting.

Fibreglass matting, roofing trims, application tools and Fire Retardant Topcoat are sold separately unless specifically included in a kit.

Application and Safety Information

Apply only to a clean, dry and correctly prepared roof deck. Do not laminate over wet or damp substrates, or outside the manufacturer’s recommended application temperature range.

Add the supplied catalyst according to the current Cromar catalyst chart and site temperature. Mix only manageable quantities and follow the official PROGRP installation guidance.
