Wallbarn's Protecto-Drain 20P Drainage Membrane is designed as a reservoir and drainage layer for green roof construction. It is placed above the protected and waterproofed concrete deck, and below the filter layer, soil substrate layer and vegetation layers on extensive green roof systems.

The HDPE membrane features 20mm cups spaced evenly, but the area between the cups is perforated. When placed on a horizontal surface, this design allows water to accumulate in the cups, which helps to sustain the roots. Excess water can drain through the holes and beneath the membrane into the drainage outlet. As well as this, the water in the cups can be pulled back up through the filter layer to nourish the vegetation above. This clever design maintains a consistent level of water in the reservoir cups, while efficiently and quickly removing rainwater from the roof, preventing it from getting overloaded.

Features & Benefits: Wallbarn Protecto-Drain 20P Drainage Membrane - 20m x 2m

  • Designed for green roof construction as a reservoir and drainage layer
  • HDPE membrane with evenly spaced 20mm cups for water accumulation
  • Perforated design allows water drainage, preventing roof overload
  • Lightweight and durable material made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Suitable for various applications and protects waterproof membranes
  • Cupped structure creates a permanent air gap, reducing pressure points
  • Efficient water flow into drains beneath the membrane
  • Resistant to fungus and rot, safe for use with drinking water

This flexible membrane is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and is designed to guide water away from the surface of any structure towards the appropriate drainage system. It is lightweight and durable, making it ideal for a variety of applications. The material is completely safe and does not contain any contaminants, meaning it can be used with water courses without any harm. It is perfect for vertical surfaces and protects the waterproof membrane against abrasion and puncture damage caused by backfilling.

The cupped structure of this material creates a permanent air gap between the wall and the backfill, which helps to reduce pressure points and ventilate the building while preventing problems of dampness. Gravity causes the water to flow down the surface and into the sump or drain installed beneath it. It is also an effective damp-proof layer on horizontal surfaces. This material is resistant to fungus and rot and safe for use with drinking water.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum
