Rubber Roofing

At Apex Fibreglass Roofing, we are proud of being one of the first businesses to look into the modern and alternative roofing materials, which outperformed traditional roofing materials such as felt - in every single way. It was our experience in the sailing and boating industry which put us ahead of the curve in this respect, by testing out materials used on our boats and the boats we worked on - which provided a tough, resilient, long lasting, waterproof material. In other words, we realised that the materials used on boats, were the perfect match to many different roofing applications.

The result of this approach is a fantastic range of both fibreglass and rubber roofing products, also known as EPDM roofing. All of these products are available in kits, and are purchased by both trade and domestic customers looking for an easy to install, effective flat roofing solution.

There are many advantages to using our rubber roofing products too, rubber as a material for roofing is resistant to all types of weather, from snow and rain to blistering sun and it’s associated UV rays. This gives rubber roofing an unbeatable in service life of up to 50 years, timescales which are made achievable by the design, as well as the construction of rubber roofing. As rubber roofing is installed, it is installed with very few seams - which means that leaks are unlikely, as seams have historically being the leak flashpoints of older types of roofing.

Applications of rubber roofing vary, as it’s an incredibly versatile product - we have supplied our roofing kits to businesses and individuals who are working on everything from the shed on their allotment, their porch at home or a full school re-roof.

If you have any questions about using rubber for your next roofing project, please do get in touch and we will be happy to help out wherever we can.
